In a project where multiple contractors and subcontractors work simultaneously, it is crucial to keep the construction according to the design for every stakeholder. BIM helps this coordination even before the construction starts at the site, however we need to make sure we are constructing in the tolerances defined in the project.
In every site there would be discrepancies between the design and asbuilt, it is really important to know the amount of the discrepancy at the time it occurs, otherwise it would yield to much bigger problems, clashes, and change orders.
In conventional methods, only s small percentage of the site is being verified using hand measurements or total stations, leading higher costs in the project and more change orders through out the project.
We offer verification services for the construction sites, using asbuilt data of the whole site vs BIM analysis, reporting the variances, and if desired updating the BIM model to the asbuilt conditions.
Every item in the BIM model is compared with the asbuilt conditions. Using element based table report it is possible to see if the item is constructed in tolerances or out of tolerances. It is also possible to dig in to each item to see the differences in distance and angles of the construction. All these information can be pushed back to Navisworks model as well.
