Intelligent 3D Plant Models

Most of the industrial plants and manufacturing facilities lack documentation of their assets. When an industrial facility is being constructed, they usually have 2D designs from various contractors. They rarely have the 3D models. However during the construction, it is not possible to construct as it is designed, sometimes designs change or the pipes need to have a different run.

When we are talking about the old industrial plants and facilities they usually don’t even have any kind of documentation.

When there is a revamp project or an expansion project, lack of  asbuilt documentation leads to rework or change orders which costs significant amount of money and hour.

Having a 3D asbuilt model of the plant or facility is also one of the requirements of Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 uses digital technologies to react more quickly to market changes, offer more personalized products and increase operational efficiency. Having all your assets and processing chains digitalized, connected, and analyzed through real time sensor data makes you aware of the big problems before they become real.
