The verticality and the roundness analysis of a tank can be easily determined using laser scanning technology to ensure that new roof fabrication or seal selections match the existing structure. The information can be used to identify areas to be corrected for roundness and verticality and to verify repairs before fabrication as well.

3D laser scanners can also be used for tank calibration – creation of accurate filling tables, strapping tables.
